Bio

Giovanni Damico — also known as G-Machine / Ron Juan — is an Italian musician, producer and DJ based in Vietri sul Mare on the Amalfi coast, near Salerno. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist (bass, drums and keys), he fuses disco-house, African boogie and Italo-flavored electronics with a deep funk-and-disco sensibility built for the dancefloor. He started out as a ghost producer in 2008 at a studio in Cava de' Tirreni, working in minimal and tech house before pivoting to his signature house-and-disco sound. His breakthrough came with the 2019 'Sounds of the Revolution' EP on Amsterdam's Lumberjacks In Hell — its track 'Italians In A Line', sung in Neapolitan dialect, became an underground hit after radio support from Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy. Today he is a flagship artist of Chicago's Star Creature Universal Vibrations, with a catalog spanning multiple 7-inches, EPs and 'The Boogie Tracks LP', plus releases on Kalakuta Soul, Faces, Bordello A Parigi, deepArt Sounds and White Rabbit Recordings. He has kept up a prolific 2026, dropping 'The Payback EP', 'Riding Into The Storm' and 'The Payback' between March and April.
