Giift is a South African-born, Copenhagen-based singer, songwriter and producer crafting genre-blurring R&B, neo-soul and alt-pop rooted in deep emotional storytelling and sleek, self-produced soundscapes. She started writing music at 15 after receiving Logic Pro X as a birthday gift and emerged at 18 with a fully realized artistic identity that blends classic soul with experimental production. Her behind-the-scenes songwriting work spans collaborations with Kehlani ("Ballin'"), Beyoncé (writing credit on "YA YA" from COWBOY CARTER), Arlo Parks, Rodney Jerkins and Leon Thomas. In 2024 she won the Music Moves Europe Award and was named Songwriter of the Year at the Danish Music Awards, and she was selected for Spotify's inaugural Songwriters to Watch 2026 class. She has been championed by BBC Radio 1's New Wave, named one of CLASH Magazine's "25 Artists Who Could Define the Sound of 2025," tagged as Spotify Sweden's One to Watch, and profiled in PAPER, COLORS, Genius, The Sunday Times and MTV UK. Recent solo releases include the EP Desires (Feb 2025) and the singles Pussy, Stuck On Us and Mind, Soul, Body, with live appearances at Eurosonic, SXSW London and Soho Calling. She describes her work as "a safe space for unapologetic songwriting, truth-telling at its most raw and overt."
