Gena
Evgeny Enchev, known as Gena, is a Bulgarian hip-hop producer and founding member of So Called Crew alongside Grigovor and Jluch — one of the most prolific independent rap acts in the country for over a decade. Making beats since 2005, he is a champion of classic sample-based production in the vein of Apollo Brown, Flying Lotus, and 9th Wonder, building conceptual albums around themes like space and cinema. He produced Y A N A's Under My Skin album, co-produced half of Leena's Labyrinth of the Subconscious (sold-out vinyl via Fat Beats), and appears on all three Stereofox Bulgarian Beat Wave compilations with support from BBC Radio 1, CLASH Magazine, Bandcamp front page, and KCRW. Based in Sofia and born in Targovishte, he remains active in 2026 with new releases through Stereofox and So Called Crew while DJing across the city as a lifelong vinyl digger.
