Funkin Matt (real name Mats Ronander, born 1986 in Tønsberg, Norway) is a Norwegian record producer, remixer and DJ active since 2007. He is best known for his official remix of Mariah Carey, which hit #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Chart in 2014, and for house anthems like 'Elephant', 'Phoenix', 'Joi' and the Fiora collaboration 'Feel So' — each with multi-million Spotify streams. Over the last decade he has released on a who's who of dance labels: Tiësto's Musical Freedom, Diplo's Mad Decent, A-Trak's Fool's Gold, Steve Aoki's Dim Mak, Spinnin' Records, Ultra, Oliver Heldens' HELDEEP, Ferry Corsten's Flashover, plus Sony, Warner and Universal majors. He is also A&R and co-founder of Fjordin Records alongside Gregor Salto, championing future house and electro talent. His sound sits at the intersection of bass-heavy future house, festival electro and funk-driven club music — positioned, as his Spotify tagline puts it, as 'your fav DJ's secret weapon'.
