Forest Drive West

Bio

Forest Drive West is the project of East London producer Joe Baker, known for a hypnotic, stripped-down sound that bridges atmospheric techno, jungle and breakbeat. He began producing in the early 2000s after immersing himself in Brighton's jungle clubs, before formally releasing music from 2016 — much of it through Peverelist's revered Livity Sound label, including his 2018 debut album 'Apparitions'. His tracks move between meditative, dubbed-out textures and heavier, explosive club weapons, earning him a reputation as one of the UK underground's most distinctive voices. He co-runs the emerging label OODA alongside localhost, and continues to release prolifically — his album 'Mantis 1920' arrived in June 2026.
