FLKS is the beatmaking project of Berlin-based bassist, session musician, and producer René Flächsenhaar. Known for soulful guitars, chilled chords, laid-back bass lines, and slightly off-grid grooves, he builds handmade instrumentals heavy on hip-hop and R&B with a lush vintage feel. Outside the studio he has spent more than a decade as a bass sideman, teaches at BIMM, and appears on the Bass the World YouTube channel. Signed to We Run This Records, FLKS collaborates across the European chillhop scene (including work with Papi Churro, TESK, Kid Tarô, and Shuko) and keeps a steady release pace — recent cuts include Portokalia (Jun 2026), Airball (May 2026), and Midnight Cruise (Apr 2026).
