Emily A. Sprague is a synthesist, songwriter, composer, and sound designer from the Catskill Mountains of New York, now based in Los Angeles. She is a founding member of the acclaimed folk ensemble Florist, and her solo ambient work under her own name — released on RVNG Intl. and Ghostly International — has established her as one of the most distinctive voices in American modular synthesis and ambient composition. Her sound bridges eurorack modular synths, intuitive melodic structures, and expressive songwriting to yield expansive, immersive sonic environments. In 2025 she released Cloud Time, described as entirely improvised recordings captured live during her Japan tour. Her 2026 EP Double Moon continues her streak of prolific and critically engaged ambient releases.
