His artist name comes from the Japanese うちゅう (uchuu, "universe"), the inspiration behind what he calls the "Ushuuverse" — a sound built on planet-crushing color bass, melodic dubstep and galactic, space-age melodies. He first emerged in 2013 as future-bass project D.C.R, earning early support from artists like Ookay and Martin Garrix before fully transitioning into bass music. Since then he has released on heavyweight labels including Monstercat, Disciple, Subsidia and Truth's Deep Dark & Dangerous, with his track "Save Me" featured on the official Fortnite soundtrack and festival performances including Rampage in Belgium. He is hugely prolific, with 70+ releases to date — among them the 16-track album Ushuuverse (October 2025) — and a steady stream of 2026 singles such as "Dale," "Drip" and "Let Me / Aliens." Roças, born in Lisbon, produces in FL Studio and has spoken openly about a near-death COVID experience in 2020 that reignited his commitment to music. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu#artistas) 8.8M Total plays & views Projects20 Since2024 Verified streams · verified today 8,820,368 +5 K a day · +155 K a month, on average 20 projects · 10 artists · since 2024 spotify 100 % 8,820,368 88 days · Total ## Records [90K has passed 90,000 streams Into U Dr. Ushūu 32 days ago](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/into-u) [900K has passed 900,000 streams Quasar - TOXSYCK Remix Dr. Ushūu, TOXSYCK 38 days ago](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/quasar-toxsyck-remix) [60K has passed 60,000 streams Aliens Dr. Ushūu 46 days ago](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/aliens) [60K has passed 60,000 streams Ushuumhate Dr. Ushūu 54 days ago](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/ushuumhate) Most played ## Most played [01 Won't Let Go Doctor P, Dr. Ushūu 5.826.812 5,8 M](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/wont-let-go) [02 Quasar - TOXSYCK Remix Dr. Ushūu, TOXSYCK 960.593 961 K](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/quasar-toxsyck-remix) [03 Creep Killa Dr. Ushūu 653.281 653 K](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/creep-killa) [04 Creep Killa - VIP Dr. Ushūu 192.588 193 K](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/creep-killa-vip) [05 Camden Town Dr. Ushūu 166.795 167 K](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/camden-town) [06 Won't Let Go - Dr. Ushūu Remix Dr. Ushūu 93.999 94 K](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/wont-let-go-dr-ushuu-remix-2) [07 Won't Let Go - Dr. Ushūu Remix Doctor P, Dr. Ushūu 93.999 94 K](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/wont-let-go-dr-ushuu-remix-3) [08 Into U Dr. Ushūu 93.703 94 K](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/into-u) [09 Aliens Dr. Ushūu 66.468 66 K](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/aliens) [10 Ushuumhate Dr. Ushūu 62.194 62 K](https://obra.art/dr-ushuu/ushuumhate) Has worked with ## 10 artists.
