Double Drop
Mozambican electronic artist and founder of Xibalo Records, Double Drop builds Afro-futurist soundscapes that stay rooted in Mozambican culture while traveling club floors worldwide. His project deliberately de-personifies the artist — “music has no face” — a concept covered by Mixmag and DJ Mag, including Mixmag’s Top 25 Artists To Watch in 2026. Signed to and releasing through Sondela, MoBlack, Go Deeva and his own Xibalo imprint, he blends afro house, organic house and Afro-tech with collaborators such as Alassane Badboy, Healling and Sky White. Live, he has shared stages with Black Coffee in Maputo, headlined MTN Bushfire’s Ballantine’s stage with Da Capo, and played Italy, Germany, Mauritius and beyond. Recent 2026 output includes the Inuka remix (July), Jamm Ay with Alassane Badboy, and the upcoming JINN single — proof he is still shipping music while expanding Coffee Party Moz and Xibalo’s pipeline for new Mozambican talent.
