Dokkodo Sounds is the main artistic project of Leeds-based composer, producer, and sound designer Thomas Trueman. The name comes from Miyamoto Musashi's Dokkodo (The Way of Walking Alone), and the music pairs ambient soundscapes with hazy beats and nostalgic melodies across lo-fi hip hop and downtempo. Releases have appeared on Inner Ocean Records, Stereofox Records, College Music, and Pueblo Vista, with editorial support on Spotify and Apple Music playlists such as Lo-Fi Beats. Beyond streaming, Thomas builds sample packs for Splice, Novation, Touch Loops, and Ampify, and his catalog has earned sync placements with Netflix, HBO, BBC, and Amazon. Recent singles include "What We Had Before" (June 2026) and "Begin Again" (May 2026), ahead of the upcoming Stereofox release Tomorrow Comes.
