DJ Harrison
DJ Harrison is the artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist Devonne Harris, based in Richmond, Virginia, where he runs his own studio and label, Jellowstone Records. His music moves fluidly across jazz, funk, soul, R&B, hip-hop and rock, built on a deep reverence for the legacy of Black American Music. Signed to Stones Throw Records, he has released a string of acclaimed albums including HazyMoods (2017), Tales from the Old Dominion (2021), Shades of Yesterday (2024) and the brand-new ElectroSoul (January 2026), with two of his records earning co-signs from Tyler, The Creator. He is also a core member of the hip-hop/jazz-fusion group Butcher Brown. As a producer he has worked with Phonte, Nubya Garcia and Yaya Bey, and his contributions to projects with Jack White and Kurt Elling have earned him two GRAMMY nominations. Prolific and self-sufficient, he records, plays and produces nearly everything himself, championing emerging Richmond artists through Jellowstone along the way.
