DJ Python

ProducerDJ

since 2022

DJ Python is the best-known alias of Brian Piñeyro, a producer and DJ based in Queens, New York City. He is celebrated for fusing reggaeton's 'dembow' rhythm with ambient and dub-techno textures — a hypnotic, astral sound he has described as 'deep reggaeton.' His acclaimed albums Dulce Compañía (2017) and Mas Amable (2020) established him as a key voice in New York's experimental dance underground, and he co-founded the respected Incienso label alongside Anthony Naples. A long-running resident at Brooklyn's Nowadays, Piñeyro has also recorded as DJ Wey and Luis, collaborated with artists including Ela Minus and Nick León, and continues to release steadily — his latest singles 'Bborn Again' and 'Wisco' arrived in spring 2026.
