distraction4ever is a bilingual post-punk and synth-punk duo from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 2022 by Beau Geste and Splitshift. Their sound blends broken amplifiers, analog synthesizers, rapid drum machines, and distorted vocals — switching effortlessly between English and French. After debut LP Please Don't Think About Tomorrow (2022) and the industrial-punk Business Core (2024), which critiques modern work culture, they returned in May 2026 with Life is a Laugh, a 13-track album about meeting the world with humour amid chaos. The pair have built a cult following through high-energy live sets at Palomosa, POP! Montreal, and SSENSE-captured performances, with editorial support from Spotify playlists including Fresh Finds Indie, Darkwave, and Montreal Chill.
