Dilby
Dilby is a New Zealand-born DJ, producer and engineer who has been a fixture of Berlin's electronic music scene since relocating there in 2012. Weaned on New Zealand's 1990s rave culture, he started DJing in 2001 before turning the move to Berlin into a full creative reboot. His sound blends deep and tech house with influences from dub, progressive rock, ambient and tribal rhythms, built around a signature groove and meticulous attention to detail aimed squarely at the dancefloor. He has released on respected imprints including Toolroom, Knee Deep In Sound, Glasgow Underground, Mother Recordings, Bondage Music, Sublease Music and 8bit, with tracks regularly charting in Beatport's Top 100. His music has drawn support from heavyweights like Danny Tenaglia, DJ Sneak, Maceo Plex, Claptone and Hot Since 82, and he has performed at festivals including Sónar and ADE. A prolific releaser with well over 100 records to his name, Dilby remains relentlessly active, dropping new singles, remixes and EPs almost every month.
