Diamond Ortiz is a modern-day funk musician, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Santa Ana, California, and a core member of the Orange County-based Funk Freaks crew. Working in the West Coast funk, boogie, G-funk and soul traditions, he builds his tracks around vintage synthesizers, talk boxes and live instrumentation, bridging classic 1980s funk with a contemporary sound. Across more than a decade of self-released albums - including Highway Hi-Fi Equipped (2025), Flawless (2025) and Customized (2023) - he has amassed over 45 million streams and 25 million video views. He performs regularly with Funk Freaks at venues such as The Observatory in Santa Ana and keeps appearing on West Coast funk compilations, most recently the Foos Gone Wild collection released in June 2026.
