David Fleming
David Fleming is an Emmy-winning American composer based in Los Angeles, known for writing music for major film and television productions. He won the BMI Foundation's Pete Carpenter Fellowship, which opened the door to collaborations with Hans Zimmer at Remote Control Productions, co-composing the BAFTA-winning BBC documentary Blue Planet II. Fleming contributed additional scoring to Disney's The Lion King (2019), Dune (2021), and Top Gun: Maverick (2022) before landing principal composer credits on projects including Mr. & Mrs. Smith (Amazon), The Last of Us Season 2 (HBO, with Gustavo Santaolalla), Superman (2025, with John Murphy), and A24's Eternity. In 2024 he won an ASCAP Screen Music Award for Television Score of the Year for The Last of Us and a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary Series for Jim Henson: Idea Man. His most recent credit is Apple Original Series Widow's Bay (2026).
