Danpapa GTA (born Akinlemibola Omotoyosi Daniel) is a Lagos-born, Ikotun-raised singer, rapper and self-producer at the forefront of Nigeria's alté underground. He builds his songs almost entirely by himself, fusing Afropop cadences with trap-inflected rhythms and an alternative, grunge-meets-alté sensibility that resists neat categorisation. His 2026 single 'Ikeja (No Go Thief)' became one of the year's earliest underground anthems, going viral and debuting on Spotify Nigeria's viral charts.
