Bio

Danny J Lewis is a British producer and DJ known for his London-leaning take on classic New York and Chicago house — often called garage house: deep and soulful, with an edgier UK attitude. His discography spans Defected, Strictly Rhythm, Soulfuric Trax, Locked On, Masters at Work, and Ministry of Sound, and his 1990s classics have been spun by Kenny Carpenter, Kenny Dope, Louie Vega, Tony Humphries, and Kerri Chandler. Best known early on for the 1998 UK hit "Spend the Night" (UK Singles No. 29 / UK Dance No. 1), he continues to release prolifically through his Just Underground Recordings imprint, including the Night Tales album series and 2026 singles such as "Keeping It Reel" and "Tower Records". Beyond the booth, he taught sound design for a decade at Point Blank Music School in London and now runs the Music Pro Tutorials YouTube channel, helping a global community of producers.
