Cloudchord is the lo-fi and chillhop project of Derek VanScoten, a producer, guitarist, educator and Emmy-winning composer based in Austin, Texas. After releasing albums under the name D.V.S*, he adopted the Cloudchord moniker in 2016, building a signature sound around feel-good, technically intricate guitar beats. He has played guitar with groups including the Boulder Philharmonic, DJ Logic and DeVotchKa, co-produced and featured on Michal Menert's Even If It Isn't Right, and toured with Big Gigantic, Beats Antique, Emancipator and Lotus. Signed to Nettwerk, he has a 250-plus song discography and around 208,000 monthly listeners, with roughly 28 of his 50 most recent releases being collaborations with other artists.
