Bio

Child Actor is the project of producer and beatmaker Max Heath, one of underground hip-hop's most sought-after sonic architects. His beats are shaping the sound of many of the scene's most visionary artists — he produced 'Shepherd's Tone' on billy woods' acclaimed 2019 album 'Terror Management', and has crafted instrumentals for Earl Sweatshirt, Navy Blue, Armand Hammer and Open Mike Eagle. Trained as a jazz musician and singer-songwriter under the mentorship of avant-garde legend Anthony Braxton, Heath brings a deeply musical, woozy and textural 'beat science' to his productions, blending plunderphonics, experimental and lo-fi hip hop into hazy, cinematic soundscapes. His prolific output spans dozens of instrumental and collaborative releases on Bandcamp, including the April 2026 record 'Crayola Circles' with Fatboi Sharif, praised by Bandcamp Daily for its soothing, soulful production. He remains one of the most reliably inventive producers to watch in the underground.
