Byron the Aquarius
Byron the Aquarius (born Byron Blaylock) is a jazz-house virtuoso, keys player and producer from Birmingham, Alabama, now based in Atlanta, Georgia. Classically trained on piano from age six and raised on Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea, he studied jazz before moving into beats — collaborating early with Onra and Flying Lotus, then Detroit's Denaun Porter, before discovering house music in Atlanta through Kai Alce. His sublime, jazz-infected house caught the ear of Theo Parrish, who released two of his tracks on the legendary Sound Signature label (the 2016 'Highlife EP'). Since then he has put out a string of acclaimed LPs — 'Astral Traveling' (Mutual Intentions), 'Ambrosia' (Jeff Mills' Axis Records) and 'The New Beginning' (Shall Not Fade) — and performed at festivals including Dimensions, Dekmantel, Suncebeat and All Points East. In 2022 he founded his own imprint, TALKNOI$E Records. Known for his motto 'live frequencies,' Byron remains prolific and actively touring, with 2026 dates across Medellín and New York.
