Buunshin (Ferry Mellegers) is a drum & bass producer from Rotterdam, Netherlands, who has risen in just a few years to one of the most innovative and respected names in the genre. Classically trained, he earned a Bachelor in Sonology and studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where he discovered drum & bass. His early releases landed on legendary labels including Neosignal (Phace & Misanthrop) and VISION (Noisia), and he now releases prolifically across the modern D&B and bass landscape. He produces and collaborates extensively for and with other artists and vocalists, including San Holo, What So Not, Apashe, Lottie Jones, Phace and DJ Fresh. With 37 releases (19 multi-artist collaborations) and a steady 2025-2026 cadence, his cinematic, emotive sound design has a devoted following.
