Budakid
Budakid is the project of Kevin Huizing, a Dutch electronic producer and DJ originally from Tilburg in the southern Netherlands, now based between Berlin and the Alps. Raised in a musical family, he started out on drums as a child and began producing at twelve, developing a melodic, emotive style that blends floating melodies with an underlying dancefloor energy. Drawing on influences from Joris Voorn, Stimming and Trentemoller to Massive Attack, Radiohead and Caribou, his sound sits at the heart of melodic and organic house. He has released on respected labels including Anjunadeep, Watergate, Permanent Vacation, Diynamic, Exploited, Disco Halal and Lost & Found, earning support from the likes of Solomun, Keinemusik, Bonobo, Pete Tong and Black Coffee. In recent years he founded his own platform and label, Flores, to release and curate music on his own terms. He remains highly active, with a steady run of 2026 singles and a catalogue of more than 70 releases.
