Brendon Moeller is a South African-born, New York-based electronic music composer and performer, and one of dub techno's most prolific and restless producers. Raised in Johannesburg, he moved to New York City in 1993, where his signature sound — deep, dubby techno and house laced with subtle undertones of jazz, shoegaze and afrobeat — took shape. Across a career spanning three decades he has recorded under several aliases, most notably Echologist and Beat Pharmacy, releasing well over 50 EPs and albums on revered labels including Electric Deluxe, Mule Musiq, Ostgut Ton, Third Ear, Prologue, Echocord and his own Steadfast Recordings. On Instagram he describes himself as a 'reclusive practitioner of hazy dubs and rural electronica,' and his Bandcamp bio is just as candid: 'My discography tells a story. I'm a work in progress. Making a living from music is nonstop hustle.'
