Braxton Cook

SAXOPHONIST · SINGER · PRODUCER · SONGWRITER · COMPOSER

Braxton Cook is a Maryland-born, New York-based saxophonist, vocalist, composer, and producer who studied at The Juilliard School and blurs the lines between modern jazz, neo-soul, and R&B. He broke out with his debut album Somewhere in Between (2017), which peaked at #1 on Jazz Albums streaming charts with over a million streams in its first month. Cook earned an Emmy Award for his music work and received an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Song. His catalog includes Fire Sign (2020), Who Are You When No One Is Watching? (2023), Not Everyone Can Go (2025), and What Do I Know Now? (2026) — a prolific run that showcases his evolution from jazz prodigy to genre-defying solo artist. He has collaborated with and written for Rihanna, Solange Knowles, Mac Miller, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Tom Misch, and Wynton Marsalis, and has performed at Montreux Jazz Festival and North Sea Jazz Festival. Braxton Cook is as much a producer and songwriter for others as he is a frontman, making him a true architect of the neo-soul and post-bop jazz space.
