Bio

Blindsmyth is the alias of Berlin-based producer Simon Schmidt, a musical globetrotter whose live sets and productions move between deep electronic soundscapes and experimental pop. Since 2014 he has worked as a freelance artist, producer, live act, and DJ in Berlin, releasing his debut album Blind on his Cosmic Society imprint in 2018 and signing to Diynamic in 2019 with the organic, hypnotic single Frozen. His second album All That Fiberglass (2022) on Connaisseur Recordings blended field recordings, self-built instruments, and vocal manipulation into a warm analogue critique of digital distraction — earning comparisons to DJ Koze, Moderat, Bonobo, and Four Tet while staying distinctly his own. He has remixed Kollektiv Turmstrasse, collaborated with Made By Pete on the 2026 single I Remember, and continues to release across Beatport, Bandcamp, and Cosmic Society with a catalog spanning melodic techno, melodic house, and leftfield club music.
