Bio

Bastien Brison is a Paris-based jazz pianist and producer who bridges live jazz performance with contemporary lo-fi and jazz-hop production. A working sideman and collaborator across the French jazz scene, he has toured and recorded with Retro Jungle, Mathieu Najean, Stella Cole, Édouard Pennes, Ellen Birath, Veronica Swift, Hot Sugar Band, Paris Jazz Sessions, Leigh Barker, Giacomo Smith, and Zoot Collectif. His catalog spans intimate piano work and beat-driven releases on Retro Jungle / Lofi Records—including collaborations with Dosi, DLJ, and ØDYSSEE—plus vinyl-minded projects under his lo-fi alias Shoganai. Recent 2026 output includes Origins cuts with Dosi (Collapse, Echoes from the Basement) and Retro Jungle singles such as The Venue, keeping a steady cadence between club-ready jazz beats and session musicianship. Debut album era work includes Debi and So Far So Good (2015); today he remains a resident presence in Paris jazz clubs while shipping streaming-era beat music worldwide.
