Born and bred in France, Basile Petite moved to London after graduating from Tours Jazz Conservatoire and built a career as a session bassist before stepping fully into production. Influenced by Kiefer, MXXWLL, Rob Araujo and Yussef Kamaal, he blends jazz, hip-hop, neo-soul and broken beat into loop-driven instrumentals that took off on Instagram through his collaborative loop series featuring musicians from the London jazz scene. Together with guitarist-producer Drew Wynen he released the EP "On s'amuse" (2023) on Root Records, followed by a run of 2026 singles — "Prends Le Guidon," "Buffalo," and "Swimming Poule" — ahead of their second collaborative EP "C'est Party" (May 2026). He has performed at EFG London Jazz Festival, collaborated with artists including Mega, Etuk Ubong and BBsway, and earned editorial support from Spotify and Apple Music while building an audience of over 60,000 Instagram followers.
