Balanka

Bio

Balanka is the creative alias of Gabriel Veiga, a São Paulo-born Brazilian producer and DJ whose bass-driven, psychedelic-tinged deep tech and minimal house has broken through the global underground. His breakout single "Real Smooth" on Shout Label peaked at #4 on Beatport's Minimal / Deep Tech chart and held the Top 10 for months, earning support from Michael Bibi, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Vintage Culture, and Mau P. Releases on Repopulate Mars, DOSMUNDOS, Shout Label, Take Notes, Collecting Dots, and Short Circuit span hypnotic minimal grooves, dark tech-house rollers, and more experimental psychedelic textures. In 2026 he has kept a relentless release schedule — Life Is Just 4 Fun EP on DOSMUNDOS (January), The Bank EP (February), Rhythm EP (April), and Command Your Soul (May) — while evolving toward indie-dance psychedelia on earlier work like Bad B for Repopulate Mars. With roughly 154K monthly Spotify listeners and a catalog of 40+ originals, Balanka represents the new wave of Brazilian deep-tech producers turning underground club momentum into international visibility.
