Azzecca is the project of Chicago-based DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Allie DeCastris, an emerging American dance-music voice fusing high-energy techno, old-school house, euphoric trance, acid, and cosmic textures into sets built on what she calls the juxtaposition between euphoria and darkness. Raised in a musical family on Massive Attack, Portishead, Bjork, and Pink Floyd, and trained on flute, piano, and bass, she pivoted into production full-time during the pandemic. Her 2022 debut single 'I've Been Waiting' landed on Diplo's Higher Ground; the follow-up 'Other Side' has now amassed over 13 million streams. She has released on Kompakt, Foreign Family Collective (Ninja Tune), DGTL, Ministry of Sound, and REALM, and her recent run of singles 'Holding Back', 'Dance Of The Desert', 'Forbidden Fruit', 'find a reason', 'dreams', 'Love On Me' and the May 2026 release 'make your move' have cemented her spacey, progressive sound on US festival stages. She has played Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Movement Detroit, CRSSD, Printworks, ARC Festival, and Groove Cruise, and is preparing her debut album. In Chicago she founded Dirty Disco, a female-focused party series, and in July 2024 launched COSIMEA, an inclusive event series and forthcoming label spotlighting emerging talent. She was named to DJ Mag's Artists to Watch 2025 and Beatport's Next Class of 2025.
