The project began on April 20, 2014 while he was still drumming in the death metal band Stillbirth; a trip to Lisbon inspired his debut EP 'Rua Augusta'. Since then he has built a deep catalogue of instrumental albums and EPs, layering laid-back jazz harmonies and catchy melodies over heavy-hitting drums. He has collaborated with artists including Flitz&Suppe (the 2025 album 'NIGHTBRAWLERS'), Teknical Development, Menteroja and Lord Folter, and records for the Stereofox label. With around 74k monthly listeners on Spotify and a steady release cadence - his latest single 'Galaxies' dropped in May 2026 - AK420 is a prolific, active producer with a loyal lo-fi and boom-bap following. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/ak420#artistas) 1.3M Total plays & views Projects20 Since2025 Verified streams · verified today 1,260,781 +2 K a day · +66 K a month, on average 20 projects · 16 artists · since 2025 spotify 100 % 1,260,781 84 days · Total ## Records [150K has passed 150,000 streams Life Like This Nuncc, AK420 7 days ago](https://obra.art/ak420/life-like-this-2) [150K has passed 150,000 streams Life Like This Nuncc, AK420 7 days ago](https://obra.art/ak420/life-like-this) [90K has passed 90,000 streams Late Night Drive Nuncc, AK420 7 days ago](https://obra.art/ak420/late-night-drive) [70K has passed 70,000 streams Books In The Attic Niklas Nadidai, AK420, Julian Blumenthaler 7 days ago](https://obra.art/ak420/books-in-the-attic) Most played ## Most played [01 Life Like This Nuncc, AK420 155.324 155 K](https://obra.art/ak420/life-like-this-2) [02 Life Like This Nuncc, AK420 155.324 155 K](https://obra.art/ak420/life-like-this) [03 Concrete Romance Flitz&Suppe, AK420 105.360 105 K](https://obra.art/ak420/concrete-romance-2) [04 Concrete Romance Flitz&Suppe, AK420 105.360 105 K](https://obra.art/ak420/concrete-romance) [05 Up All Night Nuncc, AK420 94.459 94 K](https://obra.art/ak420/up-all-night-2) [06 Late Night Drive Nuncc, AK420 91.213 91 K](https://obra.art/ak420/late-night-drive) [07 Books In The Attic Niklas Nadidai, AK420, Julian Blumenthaler 70.822 71 K](https://obra.art/ak420/books-in-the-attic) [08 Afterhour Nuncc, AK420 64.307 64 K](https://obra.art/ak420/afterhour-2) [09 Afterhour Nuncc, AK420 64.307 64 K](https://obra.art/ak420/afterhour) [10 Tequila Sunrise AK420, Bloodmasta Cut 58.431 58 K](https://obra.art/ak420/tequila-sunrise) Has worked with ## 16 artists. and 2 more Catalog ## 20 releases. 2026 8 [GalaxiesCrunch FM, AK420 · 1 K](https://obra.art/ak420/galaxies) [Books In The AtticNiklas Nadidai, AK420, Julian Blumenthaler · 71 K](https://obra.art/ak420/books-in-the-attic) 71 K [FlightmodeWilczynski, AK420 · 20 K](https://obra.art/ak420/flightmode) [AnewLeavv, AK420 · 22 K](https://obra.art/ak420/anew) [Clear PathFunky Notes, AK420 · 8 K](https://obra.art/ak420/clear-path) [Faded MemoriesAK420 · 12 K](https://obra.art/ak420/faded-memories) [Honey MistAlcynoos, AK420 · 10 K](https://obra.art/ak420/honey-mist) [Up All NightNuncc, AK420 · 405 K](https://obra.art/ak420/up-all-night) 405 K 2025 12 [OutofmymindNuncc, AK420 · 10 K](https://obra.art/ak420/outofmymind) [Another vandalACROS, AK420 · 18 K](https://obra.art/ak420/another-vandal) [SUNDAYDOPXSET, AK420 · 4 K](https://obra.art/ak420/sunday) [ConcreteAK420, DJ Obsolete, Vibin' · 30 K](https://obra.art/ak420/concrete) [AfterhourNuncc, AK420 · 64 K](https://obra.art/ak420/afterhour) [weight\*of\*the\*worldBen Jammin' Beats, AK420 · 8 K](https://obra.art/ak420/weightoftheworld) [Life Like ThisNuncc, AK420 · 155 K](https://obra.art/ak420/life-like-this) 155 K [Tequila SunriseAK420, Bloodmasta Cut · 58 K](https://obra.art/ak420/tequila-sunrise) [driftlightAK420 · 15 K](https://obra.art/ak420/driftlight) [NightbrawlersFlitz&Suppe, AK420 · 216 K](https://obra.art/ak420/nightbrawlers) 216 K [Concrete RomanceFlitz&Suppe, AK420 · 105 K](https://obra.art/ak420/concrete-romance) 105 K [Signals In The FogFlitz&Suppe, AK420 · 28 K](https://obra.art/ak420/signals-in-the-fog) Catalog · Notes · Curatorial Bio AK420 is a German beatmaker, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Leverkusen, near Dusseldorf, known for his signature blend of boom-bap, lo-fi and jazz - 'organic, jazzy, raw' instrumental hip hop in the tradition of the golden era.
