Bio

AHNAMUSICA (アハナムジカ) is the project of Japanese beatmaker, MPC player, DJ, and songwriter Taro Hayashi. After starting drums at age 14 and playing in bands, he launched the project in 2016 and established his signature lo-fi hip-hop sound by 2020 — jazzy textures, mellow grooves, and the warm nostalgia of vinyl woven into every beat. Born in Kochi, Japan, he spent 2021–2024 based in Paris releasing music on labels across the United States, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom; his 2024 album Breath Mark alone surpassed 9 million Spotify streams. He has performed at events worldwide, including a reception at Louis Vuitton's LVMH Métiers d'Art Gallery in Paris, and earned editorial placements on Spotify's Jazz Vibes, Mellow Beats, and Road Trip To Tokyo. Produced primarily on Akai MPC Live II and Roland SP-404, AHNAMUSICA keeps a prolific release pace with the 2026 album Epiphany and recent single Flower Bed.
