8onthebeat (also known as Ocho) is a Mexican-American producer, DJ, and artist from San Fernando, California, building a signature sound he calls "LA pocho" — a fusion of corridos, electro corridos, guaracha, Latin house, and club culture rooted in bicultural identity. He broke through with collaborations like "SOLTERA" with DannyLux, "PINK" with Deorro and Oscar Ortiz, and a Billboard Latin Remix of the Week take on Xavi's "La Diabla" that merged 3/4 corrido phrasing with 4/4 electronic production. His June 2026 debut project pOCHO — led by the Deorro collaboration "teksi" — expands that vision across Mexican-American dance music built for festival stages including EDC Mexico and Beyond Wonderland. From remix work for BPM Supreme to community-driven live sets, 8onthebeat bridges regional Mexican traditions with global bass and sound-system culture, placing cultural identity at the center of every release.
